Aloha Cowboy (Island Cowboy #1)Aloha Cowboy by Lexi Post
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Aloha Cowboy is book one in the Island Cowboy series by Lexi Post. This is Cordell “Cord” Pennington and Leah Pennington’s story.

An entertaining story, wonderful characters, hot chemistry, with some twists and surprises.

I loved how I felt a connection to Cord and Leah and could feel their emotions. Cord’s family was a great addition to the story.

It was fun learning about Hawaii. I am looking forward to the other brothers’ story.  FYI, contains mature content.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Hero’s Heart: Resolution Ranch (Flint Hills Military Heroes Book 2) by Tessa Layne
This is Sterling Walker and Emma Sinclaire’s story.

This is a great and beautifully written story.  Sterling has issues that he hasn’t dealt with and promises to never marry after losing a good friend.  He doesn’t want to put a woman through what his good friend’s wife and child is having to endure.  Sterling returns home to Resolution Ranch and ends up working with Emma.  Emma and Sterling go way back and he used to love teasing and aggravating her.   He worries that he went too far and wants Emma to know that he has changed.  Sterling’s friends used to tease him that Emma was the one that got away.  Will Sterling stick to his vow to never marry or will he take a chance on finding true love?

I loved Sterling and Emma’s story.  Their journey wasn’t an easy one but was an amazing ride.  I enjoyed the supporting characters and their story too.  The author did a wonderful job of incorporating awareness of grief after losing someone important and the issues that military personnel and their families deal with when getting back to life outside of the service.

This is Nash Lamont and Kasey Dawson’s story.

I enjoyed Nash and Kasey’s story. Nash and Kasey are both dealing with loss and heartache. Kasey’s children would a great addition to the story. This was a really sweet and heartwarming romance with great chemistry. It was fun watching Nash and Kasey heal and take a chance on love.

This is Larissa Martine and rancher Matt Briggs’ story.

Larissa and Matt go way back. She is back to make amends for the way she broke it off with Matt then she will be on her way. Larissa’s plans end up changing so that she can help with Matt’s sister’s wedding. Will Larissa and Matt be able to overcome the hurts and secrets from the past? One thing for sure is that the chemistry between them is still going strong. I enjoyed Larissa and Matt’s characters. The supporting characters were enjoyable too. A fun read!

Logan's Luck (Last Chance Book 4)Logan’s Luck by Lexi Post
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Logan’s Luck (Last Chance Book 4) by Lexi Post
This is Logan Williams and veterinarian Jenna Atkins’ story. The book can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend that you read all the books in this series. You will enjoy them all.

Logan and Jenna have a history and they left things unresolved. Jenna is the veterinarian for the Last Chance Ranch which forces Logan and Jenna to spend time together and hopefully resolve what happened in the past. The chemistry is still there or has Logan’s luck run out?

I fell in love with Logan. Logan just needed Jenna to bring out the best in him. A great book with hot steamy scenes, animals, great supporting characters, and a little mystery. If you have not read any of Lexi Post’s book, you need to give them a try. Her writing is unique and entertaining. I believe she could take any topic and make it interesting to read.

  1. Catching the Cowgirl

Catching the Cowgirl by Jennie Marts
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Catching the Cowgirl (Cotton Creek Romance) by Jennie Marts
This is video game designer Adam Clark and single mom cowgirl Skye Hawkins’ story.

Wow! Wow! I couldn’t put this book down once I started. This book has it all. A sweet, sensual, and fun romance with a little mystery. I fell in love with Adam and Skye’s characters. Skye’s son Cody and the other supporting characters were a great addition to the story too. I loved how Cody and Adam hit it off. They were great together.

Adam, computer geek, and Skye, cowgirl, are complete opposites. So as the saying goes “opposites attract” but can they find true love?

The story flowed so well and fulfills all the reasons why I love reading romances. So whenever you need an escape, a little comfort, and a feel good romance, sit back with this story and travel to Hawkins Ridge Ranch for Skye and Adam’s fun, sensual, and entertaining story. Excellent read!

When Things Got Hot in Texas by Lori Wilde, Christie Craig, Katie Lane, Cynthia D’Alba, Laura Drake

Love this group of authors! You can’t go wrong with hot and sexy cowboys and cowgirls in Texas.

So far I’ve just read Texas Daze by Cynthia D’Alba and look forward to reading the other stories. This is Dr. Elias (Eli) Boone and Marti Jenkins’ story. This is an entertaining, sweet, and steamy romance of two people who are total opposites. Eli is only in Whispering Springs for a short time. Marti’s life is running her family’s ranch. Will they take a chance on love? I really loved Eli and Marti’s characters. The chemistry between them was hot. A fun and enjoyable read. FYI, contains mature content.

Toughest Cowboy in Texas
Toughest Cowboy in Texas by Carolyn Brown
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Toughest Cowboy in Texas by Carolyn Brown is book number one in the Happy, Texas series. This is Lila Harris and Brody Dawson’s story.

I love Carolyn Brown’s stories. You feel as if you are there. Many years ago I lived near Happy, Texas. It was like taking a trip back to Texas. Put Brody, hot cowboy, and wild child Lila together then you get a hot and steamy romance.

Brody’s mom and grandmother have always felt that Lila isn’t good enough for him. It’s been years since they graduated from high but Brody still feels guilty for not standing up for Lila. Would Lila give him a second chance? Does he have time for a relationship with his responsibilities to the ranch?

Reading Carolyn Brown’s book make me smile. They are a great blend of humor, sexy romance, and small towns in Texas. A great start to the Happy, Texas series.

The Cowboy and the Doctor (The Gallagher of Montana Book 4)
This is Dylan Gallagher and Samantha “Sam” Striker’s story.

Circumstances bring Dylan and Sam together. Dylan and Sam are extremely attracted to each other but neither are at a place in their life for a serious relationship. Will they give into this attraction?

This is a sweet, steamy romance with twists and suspense. I enjoyed Dylan and Sam’s characters. Oh, I loved Shadow and Trouble.

Hell Yeah!: Cowboy Bred, Cowboy Born (Kindle Worlds Novella) by D’Ann Lindun
This is Alannah Murphy and Sterling Gentry’s story.

Oh my! Alannah and Gentry are so different from one another but boy do the sparks fly between them. I loved how they met. Now, you will have to read the story to find out. The banter between them was so much fun to read. To be such opposites Alannah and Gentry are perfect for each other but will they take the chance?

This is another great story by D’Ann Lindun! FYI, contains mature content.  I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
