Finding Christmas
Finding Christmas by Jeannie Moon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Finding Christmas” by Jeannie Moon takes place in a little town called Holly Point. Holly Point sounds like a wonderful place to be, especially at Christmas time. This is the story of former Navy Pilot, Maggie Benson and former NBA player and now local high school coach and teacher, Will Fitzpatrick.

Maggie has returned home after two long years of recovery from a horrible crash. She not only has her physical, but emotional scars to deal with too. Maggie has always been fearless and active. Now, she is not sure what life holds for her.

Will understands that your plans for life can change in a heartbeat. He is very attracted to her when they first meet. Maggie is attracted to Will but feels that she has too many scars, physical and emotional to burden Will with. Will Maggie and Will give them a chance at true love?

The author did a great job of incorporating awareness of the sacrifice that our military people go through in order to keep our country safe without losing the focus on the romance in the story. I liked that the vet was a woman instead of a man.

This is a great story to read during the holidays, wintertime, or anytime. “Finding Christmas” will definitely get you in the mood for romance. Steamy scenes, humor, difficulties that life throws at you, friendships, and family are all woven into this wonderful story. I really enjoyed this book and I also loved the cover. Curl up, get some tissues (for happy and sad moments), fireplace going, cup of coffee or hot tea, and enjoy a heartwarming Christmas romance! I look forward to reading other books by Jeannie Moon.

Falling for Christmas
Falling for Christmas by Kate Hewitt
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“Falling for Christmas” by Kate Hewitt is book one in the “Falling For The Freemans” series. This is the story of Hannah Ford and Sam Taylor.

Hannah is a city girl that escapes a Christmas party where her ex and his new girlfriend are attending. She drives 300 miles to escape and ends up stuck in the snow in this tiny town of Creighton Falls, New York. Hannah is dressed for a Christmas party, not for a snowstorm, but thankfully she is rescued by Sam the local carpenter and jack of all trades.

There is only one place for folks to stay, but it is closed up. Sam invites Hannah to stay at his house. She ends up staying with Sam through the holidays due to snowstorm. Both Sam and Hannah have been through some hard emotional times in their life. Will Sam and Hannah take a chance on love?

This is a sweet and steamy romance between two very different people whose relationship brought them both healing. The scenery descriptions in the book were amazing. The reader could feel the cold and the wind and visualize the snow that had fallen.

A great story to curl up with for the holidays and wintertime. I look forward to the other books in this series. I also look forward to reading other books by Kate Hewitt.

The Christmas Secret
The Christmas Secret by Jeannie Watt
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

“The Christmas Secret” by Jeannie Watt is a story about second chances. This is Lil Reynolds and Casey Lanigan’s story.

Lil and Casey had a secret romance years ago, but situations pulled them apart. She never felt the same for anyone else. Lil was engaged to Casey’s brother, but she broke off the engagement. Lil’s ex fiancé is set to get married on Christmas Eve, which is the same day they were set to marry. She decides to get away and spend the holidays in her family cabin. Things don’t go as planned. Lil and Casey end up trapped in her cabin during a blizzard. Do they still have feelings for each other?

This is a quick read. It is a sweet and cute romance.
