🏒 🏒 What happens when the No. 1 college hockey star in the country falls in love—with a man?

Nick Johnson, a top prospect for a pro hockey team, has a secret: he’s gay. Tired of living in the closet for the sport he loves, he sees no way out.

Jacob Meyer’s string of bad boyfriends left him cynical about love. Instead, he focuses on his studies as a third-year law student. With a new job waiting for him, he’s eager to graduate and move on.

On a school-sponsored trip, Nick and Jacob meet in a most unexpected way. When Nick tells Jacob his secret, they decide to hang out, just as friends. But their attraction is too strong to ignore, and they soon begin dating.

Since Nick is a big man on campus, it doesn’t take long for people to notice his attachment to Jacob. All hell breaks loose when the relationship gets out. As the national media descends, university officials try to figure out how to solve their “problem.” Their efforts divide Nick’s team, inflame fans, and put Nick and Jacob’s futures in jeopardy. Will the men be able to survive a plot to destroy them without derailing both their careers?

Nice Catching You is an out-for-you romance featuring a lot of love, exciting hockey, and a beautiful holiday. There’s also plenty of steam and a very happy ending.

A Corner Church Christmas (Christmas Town, #6)A Corner Church Christmas by Ginny Baird
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Corner Church Christmas is book number six in the Christmas Town series. This David Chavez and Liz Martin’s story.

I am so glad that Liz got her story. David and Liz’s courtship was a sweet and heartwarming read. It was fun catching up with all my friends from the other stories in this series.

This is a fun and magical read to escape from everyday life. A trip to Christmas Town is full of magic and a town of people I would love to know.

His Christmas Cowgirl
His Christmas Cowgirl by Alissa Callen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“His Christmas Cowgirl” by Alissa Callen is book number six in the Wildflower Ranch” series.  This is Peta Dixon and Garrett Ross’ story.

Garrett as a favor to Hal has agreed to fill in as foreman on Peta’s ranch until Hal recovers from his injury.

When Garrett and Peta meet their first impressions are not so good of each other.  As they work side by side things begin to change.

This is a sweet story but the romance was slow in coming.  The first half of the book was pretty slow but the second half was much better.

“A Royal Christmas Princess” by Scarlet Wilson is the sweetest Christmas romance story. This is Holly Yates and Felix de Luca’s story.

Holly is just a normal girl from Baltimore. Her mother passed away a year ago. Holly is tired and trying to figure out how she will be able to pay off all her bills. Then her world gets totally turned upside down after seeing a news report where Felix de Luca is looking for Coronia’s lost princess. The photo that they displayed on TV is Holly’s baby picture that she has sitting on her dresser.

Prince Alfred is very sick and wants Felix to find his daughter. If they do not find his daughter in time, then Felix will need to take over for Prince Alfred. Felix does not want to do this because his life is in New York but he will for Prince Alfred.

Holly meet with Felix to tell him that she thinks that she is the baby in the photo. The next thing Holly knows is that she is on a plane to Coronia.

If Holly is the lost princess, she needs to decide if she wants to take over for Prince Alfred or go back to Baltimore. Things get really complicated for Holly because not everyone is excited about her being the princess. Plus, the more she spends time with Felix he is becoming more than a friend to her.

Felix is a great guy. He is so good to Holly. He is having second thoughts on leaving Coronia and his feelings for Holly are changing to more than friends. Will Holly and Felix be able to have more than a friendship?

His Jingle Bell Princess
His Jingle Bell Princess by Barbara Dunlop
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“His Jingle Bell Princess” by Barbara Dunlop is a sweet and heartwarming romance. This is Crown Princess Jasmine Arcules and Sam Cutler’s story.

Princess Jasmine finds herself stranded in the little town of Tucker, Maine during a blizzard. She is going through some restless times in her life so this may end up being a good time for her to take a break from her rigid duties.

Sam and his precious twin girls have lived with his mother in-law since the death of his wife two years ago. The girls want to go back to their home but Sam keeps saying that they can’t move back in until he finishes renovations on it. Sam is dreading Christmas time since this was his wife’s favorite time of year and when she died.

Princess Jasmine ends up staying with Sam’s family. No one knows that she is a princess. For the first time in Jasmine’s life she gets to experience life as a normal person.

Jasmine and Sam don’t hit it off at first but as time goes on they end up helping each other. There is an attraction between them but in reality she is a princess and has duties that she must fulfill and Sam is still having trouble moving on since his wife’s death.

I fell in love with Sam and Jasmine’s characters. The reader could feel Sam’s pain and Jasmine’s loneliness but could also feel their emotions as they began to change. The twins were great too. This is a beautiful feel good romantic read.

The Christmas Cookie Shop
The Christmas Cookie Shop by Ginny Baird
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This a sweet and Christmas romance in Christmas Town where magical things happen.

“The Christmas Cookie Shop” by Ginny Baird is book number one in the “Christmas Town” series. This is Hannah Winchester and Carter Livingston’s story.

Carter has been in Christmas Town for almost a year as the sheriff. Lou, Christmas Town mayor, has tried to fix Carter up but he just isn’t ready for a relationship. Carter still has some unresolved things from his past.

Hannah inherited her grandmother’s old cookie shop in Christmas Town. She decides to go to Christmas Town to fix up the shop and put it up for sale. Hannah is at crossroads in her life and isn’t sure what she wants to do. She knows for sure that she isn’t ready for a relationship. Hannah also has some unresolved issues from her past.

I loved Carter and Hannah’s characters. It was fun watching Carter and Hannah’s relationship change. Will they take a chance on love? You can’t help but fall in love with all the people of Christmas Town.

This story reminds me of the cute and sweet Christmas romance movies on the Hallmark channel.
