My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Hero’s Heart: Resolution Ranch (Flint Hills Military Heroes Book 2) by Tessa Layne
This is Sterling Walker and Emma Sinclaire’s story.

This is a great and beautifully written story.  Sterling has issues that he hasn’t dealt with and promises to never marry after losing a good friend.  He doesn’t want to put a woman through what his good friend’s wife and child is having to endure.  Sterling returns home to Resolution Ranch and ends up working with Emma.  Emma and Sterling go way back and he used to love teasing and aggravating her.   He worries that he went too far and wants Emma to know that he has changed.  Sterling’s friends used to tease him that Emma was the one that got away.  Will Sterling stick to his vow to never marry or will he take a chance on finding true love?

I loved Sterling and Emma’s story.  Their journey wasn’t an easy one but was an amazing ride.  I enjoyed the supporting characters and their story too.  The author did a wonderful job of incorporating awareness of grief after losing someone important and the issues that military personnel and their families deal with when getting back to life outside of the service.

FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is Levi and Harper’s story.

Levi and Harper have known each other since they were kids. They also had that one night that they spent together that nobody knows about.

Harper and Levi’s story is one filled with fun, happy, hot chemistry, but also loss. Levi and Harper are going through some rough times so their story is a roller coaster ride but in the end they find true love.

FYI, contains mature and graphic language and content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Nate still has unresolved issues since his fiance’ death. His family keeps trying to set him. They are also worried about him. Nate doesn’t feel that he has anything to give in a relationship. He doesn’t want to be put in the position to be hurt. Lauren agrees to be his pretend girlfriend. As they spend time together the lines begin to blur.

This is an emotional and heartwarming story with hot chemistry. I enjoyed Nate and Lauren’s story. They both have some really difficult issues to work through.

Unconventional (Untouchable, #2)Unconventional by Isabel Love
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Unconventional by Isabel Love
This is Charlie and Quinn’s story.

Warning: This story contains mature and graphic content. It is not for the faint of heart. Anything goes. Despite all the steamy and no rules sex there is depth to the characters and story. There are moments that will break your heart.

This story is true to it’s title. Charlie and Quinn’s story is definitely unconventional. Charlie and Quinn have been friends for awhile. They hookup more as friends with benefits but not exclusive. As time goes on things begin to change. Charlie and Quinn both have issues from their past that controls their life. Will they be able to deal with these issues and take a chance on a relationship?

I am giving this 5 stars even though some of the contents took me out of my comfort zone. The author did a great job of creating a story that grabbed my attention and the characters’ emotions jumped off the pages.

FYI, includes mature and graphic content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Fire On The Farm by Betty Shreffler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fire on the Farm (Second Chance Cowboy Romance) by Betty Shreffler
This is Amy Flanders and Brock Baisdin’s story. Amy’s loss of her husband was tragic. I cried right along with Amy. Her work with the horses is what keeps Amy going. Then Amy meets Brock and everything changes.

What a story! This is an emotional ride. After grieving over the loss of the love of her life Amy is falling for Brock. She is so afraid of loving someone and then losing them. I fell in love with Brock. The intimate scenes displayed how much they cared for one another. How can Amy not take a chance on the love that Brock is offering? Love lost and love found if Amy can move forward.

Brock and Amy’s story is a heartwarming, emotional, sensual, hot, and loving romance. The author pulled me in and I could feel the emotions of the characters. This is a must read!

FYI, includes mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is Wren Ballard and Anderson Black’s story.

Oh my! This story grabs you from the start. Wren and Anderson are both dealing with really difficult personal and emotional issues in their life. You can feel their emotions.

A great story that covers so many emotions. Be prepared to laugh and at times cry. I fell in love with Wren and Anderson. They are so perfect for each other. The chemistry and connection between them is really intense. They have been through so much and deserve a chance at love. Will they be able to work through their personal issues to take a chance on love?

A great book that’s entertaining, sensual, and heartwarming! You just need to read it to experience all the emotions of the story.

Coach Maddie and the Marine
Coach Maddie and the Marine by Blaire Edens
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

“Coach Maddie and the Marine” by Blaire Edens is Maddie Westerfield and Lieutenant David Sterling’s story.

Maddie Westerfield’s husband was a Marine and died in combat eight years ago. She is a grief counselor so that she can help other people going through lose like she did. I think that she is hiding from facing her lose by helping others deal with their grief. Maddie has not made time for dating during this time, plus she has been a caregiver for her eight year old nephew for her deployed sister.

Lieutenant David Sterling felt guilty for the past eight years after losing one of his men, which happen to be Maddie’s husband. Lieutenant David thinks that he doesn’t deserve happiness. Circumstances put Maddie and Lieutenant David together. They were both attracted to each from the start. But will they allow their grief and guilt to prevent them from having a chance at love?

This was a sweet story, despite dealing with grief and guilt. This does have a happy ending, but it wasn’t an easy road getting there.

I have received a copy of this book from NetGalley/Entangled Publishing, for an honest review.

Love Me Back to Life
Love Me Back to Life by Elle G. Mraz
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

https://booksnuggle.wordpress.com
I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review. “Love Me Back to Life” by Elle G. Mraz is about Kendall Matthews an ICU nurse. A fatal accident turns Kendall’s life upside down. She is struggling to pick up the pieces of her life. Kendall decides that playboy Dr. Anson Allaway is her answer for an escape from grief. Both Kendall and Anson are struggling with loses in their life. Kendall decides to have a one night stand with Dr. Allaway but the situation gets more involved than they both anticipated. The author does a great job of where the reader can feel the emotions of the characters. At times you can feel the desperation they are feeling. This book gets and keeps your attention but at times I got frustrated with the destructive decisions the characters made. It goes to show you that everyone deals with loss in different ways and hopefully they come through it okay. This book involves people dealing with grief, desire, friendships, families, and work relationships. There were some very graphic intimate scenes in the book. This book sets you up for book two. FYI, this book contains mature content.
