Tangled Up In Christmas (Texas Heat #2)Tangled Up In Christmas by Lisa Renee Jones
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tangled Up in Christmas by Lisa Renee Jones is book number two in the Texas Heat series. This is Roarke and Hannah’s story. This can be read as a stand-alone.

Roarke and Hannah were engaged to be married but things happened and Hannah left. Years later their paths cross again.

It took me a little bit to get into this read. I’m glad I didn’t give up since I did enjoy the story. At times I got so frustrated with Roarke and Hannah’s lack of communication. Is Roarke going to finally tell Hannah the truth? How will Hannah handle the truth?

I enjoyed the story being set in Sweetwater, Texas and how the author incorporated rescue horses. I love that part of Texas.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

The Cowboy's Special Christmas: A Short NovellaThe Cowboy’s Special Christmas: A Short Novella by Barbara McMahon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Cowboy’s Special Christmas by Barbara McMahon
This is veterinarian Jennifer Carleton and cowboy Cole Martin’s story.

This book is perfect if your feeling stressed with holiday or everyday life stuff. It was a peaceful, fun, heartwarming, and romantic read. Jennifer and Cole had both been hurt in previous relationships. Neither were looking for love. I fell in love with the characters and the community.

Sometimes when things don’t seem to be going your way things have a way of working out better than you ever thought.

Grab a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and enjoy Jennifer and Cole’s story.

This is a clean and sweet romance. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Desires of Christmas Present
Desires of Christmas Present by Lexi Post
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Desires of Christmas Present” by Lexi Post is book two in the “Christmas Carol” series. This is Coco Baker and Ian Fergusson’s story.

Ian and Coco are both spirit guides and get assigned to work together. Coco is cheerful and gets along with everybody but not Ian. He is a Scottish upper class snob. Ian doesn’t let people get close to him because he is afraid they will discover how he was a failure in life.

As Coco and Ian work together they both discover that they have feelings for each other. Will they act on these feelings? Coco is a go getter and Ian worries about her. He faces his past and risks his heart and soul to protect Coco.

Ian and Coco are perfect for each other. I loved watching their relationship change. This was a sweet and heartwarming story with just the right amount of heat.

FYI, includes mature content.  I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Christmas Pets and Kisses 2: 12 Sweet Romances
Christmas Pets and Kisses 2: 12 Sweet Romances by Nikki Lynn Barrett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Here are reviews from two of the stories. I will add the others as I read them.
“It’s Always Something” (A life Won’t Wait Novella) by Nikki Barrett. This is more of Tucker and Quinn’s story.

Nikki Barrett does a great job of pulling the reader in and making the characters feel like your friends. I love Tucker more and more. He is so great! Quinn and Tucker are perfect for each other.

Quinn and Tucker have a busy schedule and on top of that it’s getting close to Christmas so it makes it hard for them. They are so amazing in how they manage to have special moments with each other. This was a fun read. Love Nikki Barrett’s stories!

“A Merry Mountain Christmas: Sweet Romance” (Smokey Mountain Romance) (Volume 4) by P C Zick. This is Fran Johnson and Michael Bellwood’s story. It’s a second chance romance.

Fran fell in love with Michael when she was a teenager. Michael broke her heart but Fran never found out what happened. Fran met Carl and married him. They had a happy life together. Carl was killed in a tragic accident. Fran is getting tired of people asking her how she is doing. She is feeling restless and not really sure what she wants to do with the rest of her life.

Michael and Fran’s paths cross again after all those years. Michael wants to have another chance with Fran. Will Fran be able to forgive Michael? Will she be able to move on after the death of her husband? How will Fran’s family react to her dating again?

This is a sweet romance. I loved how the characters were in their fifties. I also enjoyed how the author incorporated rescue animals in the story.

Merry Cowboy Christmas
Merry Cowboy Christmas by Carolyn Brown
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow! This is my favorite of the Lucky Penny series! Carolyn Brown hooked me again. I loved this book!

“Merry Christmas Cowboy” by Carolyn Brown is book number three in the “Lucky Penny” series. This is Jud Dawson and Fiona Logan’s story.

Jud is one special cowboy! You can’t help but fall in love with him. Fiona is going through some rough times. Jud is perfect for Fiona. Will they take a chance on love?

I don’t know how Carolyn Brown does it but you feel a connection to her characters. The characters become your friends. I loved the side story of Dora June and Truman.

I couldn’t put this book down until I finished it. It was worth the lack of sleep! Loved it. If you love romances with cowboys, ranches, and Christmas, then you will love this book.

If you haven’t read any books in this series, you are missing out. Plan on a reading marathon because you will not be able to put any of the books in the series down. “Wild Cowboy Ways” is book one. “Hot Cowboy Nights” is book two. “Merry Christmas Cowboy” is book three.

FYI, includes mature content. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley/Forever (Grand Central Publishing) in exchange for an honest review.
