“The Millionaire Makeover” by Naima Simone is book two in the “Bachelor Auction” series. This is Khloe Richardson and Niall Hunter’s story.
Niall had promised Khloe’s brother before he died that he would not hurt Khloe. Niall and Khloe had one passionate night together. He left Khloe without a word because he had failed to protect her and the only way to keep from causing her harm was to leave her. Khloe never got over that night.
Khloe decides to make some changes in her life. She wants to make this guy at work jealous. Her plan is to get a date to help her make him jealous. Khloe and her friend go to a charity auction where she bids on a bachelor. Well, the bachelor Khloe ends up with is Niall. Will Niall and Khloe be able put their past behind them? Will they take a chance on love or will Niall just help Khloe to not hide her beauty?
I have mixed feelings on this book. You have two people that are experiencing a lot of emotional stress in their lives. They really need each other. The reader can feel their range of emotions from happy, sad, to passion. On the other side the language and a good portion of the intimate scenes just took away from the romance.
