Big league pitcher Killian Moss wants a family. What he needs is a steadfast woman who can handle long separations during the season. The kind of woman who will always be there for him and their children.
Movie actress Lorna Richards is an independent, publicity-shy, single mom who hides in Texas whenever she’s not on a shoot. Home and family is everything to Lorna and when she meets Killian, it seems that they want all the same things.
The passion between them flares bright and hot, but when Lorna decides to pay back a favor for a man who saved her career – a life-altering favor – then Killian may have to cry foul and back away. Everything between them hangs in the balance as Lorna must choose between giving a new life to her best friend or losing her dream of love and a happy ending with Killian.

In Soft Focus by Michele Shriver
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In Soft Focus by Michele Shriver
This is Oscar winning movie director, Reese White and up and coming actor Courtland (Court) Landry’s story.

Wow!! Michele Shriver knows how to deliver a hot and steamy romance. But this story goes deeper and shows that fame and fortune can’t bring you happiness if you don’t have someone to share it with. Reese has never hid who he was. Now, Courtland feels that he has to hide who he to have a chance at being a famous actor. The chemistry between Reese and Courtland is intense and hot. Will Courtland be able to show the world who he really is before Reese gives up on him?

Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down. I know when I see a book by this author no matter the genre that it’s going to be great. I throughly enjoyed this book. A great book to escape from everyday life.

FYI, contains mature content.  This is MM romance.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Luck of the Draw: 13 Romance & Suspense Novellas – 13 stories from some outstanding authors. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of Fade into Love by Michele Shriver and So Unlike Me by Nikki Lynn Barrett. Loved these two stories!

Fade into Love by Michele Shriver – This is Wren and Trey’s story. They meet on a movie set. Wren and Trey have an attraction to each other. Things are going great for them but Trey has a secret. Will this secret keep them from taking a chance on love?

So Unlike Me by Nikki Lynn Barrett – This is Lizette and Dirk’s story. Lizette has a twin Nola. Lizette agrees to pretend to be Nola but ends up being reacquainted with Nola’s best friend, Dirk, from when they were growing up. As Lizette (pretending to be Nola) spend time together they start to have feelings for each other. How will Dirk feel when he finds out that she is Lizette and not Nola? Will this prevent them from taking a chance on love?

This box set is a great way to find new authors and a variety of stories.

Breaking the Ice
Breaking the Ice by Michele Shriver
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Breaking the Ice by Michele Shriver is book number seven in the Men of the Ice series. This is Noah Mann and Riley Marks’ story.

Noah plays for the San Antonio Generals with the reputation for being the joker or fun guy. Since Riley is a medical resident she has no personal life. Riley an Noah get setup on a blind date. There was a connection between Riley and Noah. Noah wants to pursue the relationship but Riley feels it’s a not good time in her life even though she wants to pursue a relationship. Will Noah give up or will Riley go with her heart?

I really enjoyed this story. The author got my attention from the beginning to the end. I fell in love with Noah’s character. He was so patient with Riley. The chemistry was great between them. I also loved how the author incorporated the importance that charities provides to our communities.

Get comfortable because you won’t be able to put this book down.

Making an Impact
Making an Impact by Michele Shriver
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a great sports romance. I loved the difference in age. The story hooked me from the start and I couldn’t put it down. It was an entertaining read.

“Making an Impact” by Michele Shriver is book number six in the “Men of the Ice” series. This is Casey Denault and Charlene (Char) Simmons’ story.

Casey is a NHL star for the San Antonio Generals. He has a reputation for being a playboy and doesn’t plan on changing anytime soon. Well, things don’t always going according to our plans.

Char is the executive director of the San Antonio Generals Charity Foundation. She has her dream job but her personal life is lacking.

Char and Casey meet at her fortieth birthday party. Casey can’t get her off his mind and isn’t too content with his current lifestyle. Will Casey be able to convince Char that he doesn’t want the playboy lifestyle anymore? Another big obstacle for Char is that Casey is only twenty-four years old and she is forty. Will they take a chance on love?

I loved that this story showed that age doesn’t matter when it comes to love. You will fall in love with Casey and Char. It was fun watching their relationship change. This is a great quick read.

FYI, includes mature content. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
