Every Breath You Take
Every Breath You Take by Christina Phillips
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“Every Breath You Take” by Christina Phillips is Piper Thomas and Mason Hunter’s story.

Five years ago Piper broke off her engagement to Colton, Mason’s brother. That night Colton died in a wreck. Piper feels guilt since it happened the night she broke up with him. Mason also feels guilt because his brother took his motorcycle the night he died in a wreck.

Mason has always had feelings for Piper and she for him. They both never acted on it because of Colton.

Piper always goes to Colton’s parents the anniversary of his death. This year both Mason and Piper are there. Piper’s car won’t start so Mason takes her home. The chemistry between Mason and Piper is so intense that they can’t ignore it. Will they take a chance on love or will it just be a one night stand? Will they allow the past to prevent them from having a relationship?

This is an emotional and extremely steamy story with graphic intimate scenes.

FYI, includes graphic content. I received a copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review.

Seduced: An Erotic Valentine Collection
Seduced: An Erotic Valentine Collection by Mel Teshco
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“Seduced: An Erotic Valentine Collection by Mel Teshco, Christina Phillips, and Karen Stivali.

This collection contains three quick paced and spicy romances.

“Her Dark Guardian” by Mel Teshco 5 stars
This is the story of Lacey Morgan and Kane Sampson. When Kane and Lacey met he knew that for once his brother had the woman he wanted. Lacey fled from her violent husband who happened to be Kane’s half brother. She has come back to face her pass and to see Kane the one she wants but can’t have. This story catches your attention right away. The attraction between Lacey and Kane is intense with steamy scenes. For a quick read there is a lot of depth to this story. The story brings to light the emotional scars of domestic violence. I really enjoyed how the scenes unfolded.

“Every Breath You Take” by Christina Phillips 4 stars
This is Piper Thomas and Mason Hunter’s story. Piper and Mason have a pass. Piper was dating Mason’s brother when he was killed in an accident. Mason and Piper meet up again after not seeing each for a long time. They both are attracted to each other but feel they each are off limits since Piper dated his brother. Or are they off limits to each other. In this story there is a lot of misunderstandings or really lack of communication between the characters due to being afraid of getting hurt. But there was no lack of spicy steamy scenes.

“Always You” by Karen Stivali 4 stars
This is the story of Jon and Shari. Jon and Shari have been best friends for a really long time and has always loved her. Shari discovers that her fiance has been cheating so she talks Jon into going with her on her honeymoon trip while everybody is at the church where she was supposed to be married. This is a sweet and steamy romance between two people that have been best friends for years.

I received a copy of this book from Tule Publishing for an honest review. FYI, contains mature content.

Hold Me Until Morning
Hold Me Until Morning by Christina Phillips
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley/Entangled Publishing for an honest review. “Hold Me Until Morning” by Christina Phillips is the second book in the “Grayson Brothers” series. This can still be read as a standalone book. This is Cooper Grayson and Paris Annabelle Sofia O’Connell’s story. Cooper’s best friend Scott has asked him to keep his famous actress little sister Paris safe from the paparazzi for about a week so she can get away in a remote cabin. Cooper and Scott grew up in the same neighborhood so he trusts Cooper to watch out for his sister and keep her location a secret. At one time he thought of Paris as his little sister, but when they meet up at the remote cabin things have changed. The chemistry between them is intense from the start. Cooper and Paris both have issues in their life that they are letting control decisions they make. Will they be able to overcome these issues to experience true love and trust? There were some really sweet thoughtful scenes in the book. The use of the “f” word was used frequently. To me the “f” word can take away from the sweetness of the romance. The intimate scenes were graphic and to me can make these scenes seem clinical instead of romantic.
If you don’t mind the “f” word and graphic intimate scenes, then this is for you. FYI, contains mature content.
