Every Breath You Take (Man From Yesterday)Every Breath You Take by Barbara Lohr
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Every Breath You Take (Man from Yesterday Book 6) by Barbara Lohr. This is Tanner and Lindsay’s story.

This story grabbed my attention from the beginning to the end. Tanner and Lindsay’s story is a sweet and heartwarming story with some humor. When Lindsay and Tanner first meet it was priceless. I loved the characters and their interactions. The supporting characters were a great addition to the story too especially Tanner’s neighbor Red.

I reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Still Not Over You (Man from Yesterday Book 5) by Barbara Lohr
This is Phoebe and Ryder’s story.

This was a great story of two people rediscovering their love and trust in each other. Once I started the book I couldn’t put it down.

I could feel the characters’ emotions as they struggled through this journey. The love and passion was still there but they had to learn to trust again.

At times I laughed and cried. I really enjoyed this book. A perfect book to escape from real life struggles.

Late Bloomer
Late Bloomer by Barbara Lohr
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Late Bloomer (Man from Yesterday Book 4) by Barbara Lohr
This is Brody and Carolyn’s story.

What an amazing May/December story where the women is older. Carolyn taught Brody during his senior year and her first year teaching high school. It’s been ten years and ran into each other when traveling to see her grandmother. Brody is no longer a high school boy. He is all man. I loved his character. There was so much depth to Brody. It was fun and sweet watching their relationship change.

Some seemed concern about the student/teacher relationship. There was nothing inappropriate between them during the time Brody was her student. It’s been ten years since they have seen each other so you are talking about a woman in her early thirties and a man in his late twenties getting together. Ten years changes a lot of things. The story was done very tastefully.

This was a fun and entertaining read. I really enjoyed Brody and Carolyn’s story. A May/December romance with humor, chemistry, and lots of emotion with the woman being the older one. We need more stories like Late Bloomer.

In His Eyes
In His Eyes by Barbara Lohr
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In His Eyes by Barbara Lohr is book number three in the Man from Yesterday series. This is Diana Prescott and Will Applegate’s story.

Diana is a beautiful woman. She was told as a child that her beauty was the only good thing about her. Diana is so obsessed with her appearances but is working on what is most important in her life.

Will is the administrator at a nursing home in Gull Harbor. He is very attracted to Diana. Will Diana give them a chance at love? Or will Diana let her insercurties destroy her chances at love?

I loved Will. He is such a sweet, kindhearted, and patient man. Diana did drive me a little crazy being so hung up on her appearances. It was fun watching their relationship grow and watching Diana learning to trust again.

The Southern Comfort Christmas: A Heartwarming Christmas Romance
The Southern Comfort Christmas: A Heartwarming Christmas Romance by Barbara Lohr
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“The Southern Comfort Christmas: A Heartwarming Christmas Romance” by Barbara Lohr is book number six in the “Windy City” romance series. This is Harper Kirkpatrick and Cameron Bennett’s Christmas wedding story.

Planning any wedding can be stressful and chaotic. As their wedding date gets closer Harper and Cameron discover having a Christmas wedding is even more stressful. Well, lets throw in family issues, Cameron breaks his ankle, Bella is acting up at school, and wedding arrangements that have to be changed to add to the stress they already are experiencing. How will Cameron and Harper handle all these situations and still get their dream wedding?

I enjoyed getting reacquainted with Harper, Cameron, and Bella. This is a heartfelt story where two people in love find a way to handle the wedding stress, difficulties that life throws at them, and begin the healing process with family issues.

This story is a wonderful addition to the “Windy City” series. The author has a way of making you feel a part of the story. The characters feel like your friends.

Always on His Mind
Always on His Mind by Barbara Lohr
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Always on His Mind” by Barbara Lohr is book two in the “Man from Yesterday” series. This is Mercedes Kennedy and Finn Wheeler.

Mercedes and Finn were best friends in high school. They were complete opposites. Finn has always been crazy about Mercedes but he is the nerdy guy and she is a homecoming queen.

Now, things are different. Mercedes is back in Gull Harbor and is down on her luck. Finn now owns half of Gull Harbor and is an extremely attractive guy. Mercedes and Finn paths cross again. Finn is still crazy about Mercedes.

The reader could feel the attraction between Mercedes and Finn. Will Mercedes and Finn be able to find true love? Or will Mercedes not take a chance on true love due to her personal and business struggles?

This is a sweet story of two people that get a second chance at love. Another winner for Barbara Lohr. I love her stories. They get your attention right away and keep it.

Rescuing the Reluctant Groom
Rescuing the Reluctant Groom by Barbara Lohr
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book for an honest review. “Rescuing the Reluctant Groom” by Barbara Lohr is book five in the “Windy City” series. The book can also be read as a standalone. This is Seth Kirkpatrick and Selena Ruiz’s story. Oh my what a rocky road they traveled. Seth and Selena have been together for awhile. Their intimate life is great but Selena wants more. The intimate scenes display passion and chemistry but are done respectfully mostly behind closed doors. Selena is ready to settle down, get married, and start a family. Seth seems to be content with the way things are. Selena has to make a decision if Seth isn’t ready to commit does she need to move on? As they work through their struggle you begin to have a better understanding of why Seth and Selena feel and act the way they do. The reader can feel the different emotions of the characters. Will Seth and Selena allow their insecurities to get in the way of true love? They learn the importance of family and communication. Also, keeping secrets from each hurt the growth and closeness of their relationship.
This is a great romance. A great story to unwind after a hard day at work or when you need a little escape.
