“A Soldier’s Christmas” by Barbara McMahon is a sweet, clean, and heartfelt romance. This is soldier Josh Marquette and Cassie Smith’s story.
Josh was being deployed and would not be able to take his dog. If he doesn’t find someone to care for his dog while he is deployed, then he will have to find another home for his dog.
Through friends Cassie found out about Josh needing someone to care for his dog. Cassie and Josh met and she agreed to care for his dog while he was deployed for a year.
During the time Josh was deployed they used Skype so that Josh could check on Maggie, his dog. The Skype sessions also became times where they could just talk and keep up with what was going on in each other’s life. The year is up and now it is time for Josh to pick up his dog. Cassie is going to miss the dog and the Skype sessions with Josh. Or will she have to say goodbye to them?
A quick read that is clean and sweet. I enjoy Barbara McMahon’s stories.
