“A Merry Mountain Christmas: Sweet Romance” (Smokey Mountain Romance) (Volume 4) by P C Zick. This is Fran Johnson and Michael Bellwood’s story. It’s a second chance romance.
Fran fell in love with Michael when she was a teenager. Michael broke her heart but Fran never found out what happened. Fran met Carl and married him They had a happy life together. Carl was killed in a tragic accident. Fran is getting tired of people asking her how she is doing. She is feeling restless and not really sure what she wants to do with the rest of her life.
Michael and Fran’s paths cross again after all those years. Michael wants to have another chance with Fran. Will Fran be able to forgive Michael? Will she be able to move on after the death of her husband? How will Fran’s family react to her dating again?
This is a sweet romance. I loved how the characters were in their fifties. I also enjoyed how the author incorporated rescue animals in the story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I ended up buying this story in the “Christmas Pets and Kisses 2: 12 Sweet Romances” box set.
