“Justice for Laine” by Susan Stoker is book four in the “Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes” series. This is Laine Parker and Westin “Wes” King’s story.
Laine is a realtor and a very independent woman. Laine’s best friend asked her to cover for her at a photo shoot for a calendar. Laine agrees to do it, but she wasn’t expecting this real, honest to goodness cowboy, Wes King.
Wes is a true cowboy and is also a Texas Ranger. When Wes and Laine meet at the photo shoot sparks are flying. There is an immediate attraction to each other. Laine never expected that filling in for her friend at a photo shoot would result in an amazing romance.
Wes knows that Laine is the one for him, but then she disappears. All anybody knows is that she had a scheduled appointment to look at some property but not the location. Wes will do anything to find her, but will he find her in time?
A great quick read that gets your attention right from the start and keeps it throughout the book. You get an interesting storyline, steamy romance, and suspense. I also enjoyed the supporting characters. I look forward to reading other books by Susan Stoker.
