Wife for the Weekend” by Ophelia London is book three in the “Sugar City” series but can be read as a standalone. This is Jules Bloom and Dexter Elliott’s story.
This is a cute story of two people, that are long time family friends. Jules is a free-spirited person and Dexter is quite the opposite. They end up stranded together at an airport both trying to fly in for Dexter’s brother’s wedding. They haven’t seen each other in awhile and have drinks while catching up. The next morning they wake up with a hangover and discover that they had gotten married.
Dexter and Jules decide to continue with this marriage until after his brother’s wedding. As they spend time together can these opposites have a happily ever after?
This is a light, cute, funny, and passionate read. I really enjoyed this book. The supporting characters also added to this story.
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley/Entangled Publishing for an honest review. Even though the intimate scenes are closed door there is sex talk, innuendoes, and mild language.
