To Dare A SEAL by Sara Jane Stone
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
“To Dare a SEAL” by Sara Jane Stone is book two in the “Sin City SEALs” series. This is Jack Barnes and Natalie Lewis’ story.
Natalie’s sister is getting married in Las Vegas and she is the maid-of-honor. U.S. Navy Seal Jack Barnes is the best man. Jack and Natalie have been acquainted with each other for a while. Natalie is a bartender at a bar that Jack and his team frequent.
Jack has wanted to hook up with Natalie but never acted on it. Natalie has been attracted to Jack, but has issues in her past that keep from acting on it. Natalie feels that she always has to be in control. She doesn’t feel that she can let her guard down. Jack’s team mates are taking bets on whether he can seduce Natalie. Natalie knows about the challenge too. Jack can’t pass up a challenge, but is also doing it because it gives him an excuse to be with Natalie.
I don’t really like this type of challenge, but I don’t really feel that Jack or Natalie treated it like just a challenge. They are two people that are extremely attracted to each other, but have issues from their past that hinder them from finding a true love relationship. To me Jack’s character was more likeable than Natalie’s. Jack seemed more sensitive and caring. The chemistry is extremely hot between Jack and Natalie.
The story is well written and keeps the reader’s attention. The intimate scenes are extremely graphic with some unique settings. FYI, contains mature content for 18+ audiences.
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley/Entangled Publishing, for an honest review.
