“Evolving Hearts” by Iona Findley is book four in the “Hero’s Heart” series. This is Andy and Amy’s story.
Andy is a Smokejumper and loves his job. Amy wants him to do something safe. They end up separated. Andy misses his wife and kids but doesn’t know how to work it all out. Amy is battling a life threatening illness so she and the kids go back home. She doesn’t tell Andy about her illness. Will Andy find out that she is ill? Will Andy and Amy be able to work things out?
It was great how the author incorporated a high-risk job, life threatening illness, and especially the emotional well being of the children. I think it was great that the couple were already married and the chemistry that they still had between them. It shows that communication is so important in relationships and realizing what’s really important in life.
I’m not sure how but I missed book three “Joining Hearts”. I’m going to have to go back and read it. I really enjoy books by Iona Findley! Another great read!
