I have received a copy of this book from NetGalley/Entangled Publishing/Entangled Ignite for an honest review. “Stop in the Name of Love” by Nina Bruhns is an enjoyable romantic suspense story.
This is Russell Bridger (Bridge) and Mary Alice Flannery’s story.
Bridge is working uncover as a road crew guy. He is suppose to get close to Mary Alice so he can move in her house and do surveillance on her neighbor. Bridge is very attracted to Mary Alice. He has mixed emotions about acting on it since he is working undercover and she is a relationship type girl not a one night stand.
Mary Alice really has a crush on the road crew guy (Bridge). She finds out that he is a cop and that he has lied to her. Since Mary Alice’s fiancé and father were both cops and were killed in the line of duty she cannot fall for a cop.
Since Bridge and Mary Alice have been thrown together because of Bridge’s job will they be able to ignore the intense chemistry between them? I really liked the combination of hot and tough guy to conservative pre-school teacher. They provide a balance for each other.
You get romance, passion, humor, and suspense. It is a great read for when you just need an escape. I look forward to reading other books by Nina Bruhns.
