I have received a copy of this book from NetGalley/Entangled Publishing for an honest review. “Kissing Her Crush” by Ophelia London is book two in the “Sugar City” series. This is Natalie Holden and Luke Elliott’s story.
The story takes place in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Natalie is a chocolate chemist in Hershey. She also wants to prove that a specific chocolate recipe can help depression in teenagers. Luke is a microbiologist that wants to prove the opposite.
Natalie has had a crush on Luke forever. They were in high school together. They find themselves working on opposite sides of the chocolate research. Luke and Natalie are attracted to one another. The romance is more on the light side, but there is lots of fun sexy interactions between them. With all the issues they have and being dedicated to their jobs will they give themselves a chance at true love?
This story is a sweet romance with lots of talk about chocolate. I enjoyed the characters and the supporting characters. The story also covers heavy topics such as depression in teenagers and family dynamics.
