I received a copy of this book from Netgalley/Entangled Publishing for an honest review. “Falling for the P.I.” was a great story and is book one in the “Still Harbor” series. The author got my attention right away. Kate has had a rough life. It is hard for Kate to trust other people especially men and cops. Alex and Cara are like sisters to her. Together they have created their own family. Kate meets Matt who is a former cop. As the story progresses their relationship goes through a lot of ups and downs. There are things that Kate has not been able to share with Matt. Their romance was sweet and Matt showed lots of patience and compassion. I enjoyed all the supporting characters too. This book has romance, importance of family, and intrigue. I look forward to reading the next book in the Still Harbor series and other books by Victoria James.
