I received a copy of this book from Netgalley/Sourcebooks Casablanca for an honest review. “A Cowboy Firefighter for Christmas” by Kim Redford is book one in the “Smokin’ Hot Cowboys” series. This is Trey Duval and Misty Reynolds’ story.
First of all Wildcat Bluff is described so well you want to go there especially at Christmas time. Trey is a rancher and is also a volunteer firefighter. Misty Reynolds is a city girl and meets Trey as he is trying to put out a suspicious fire. Misty helps him put out the fire and then he starts calling her his “Christmas angel”. Misty had things in her past that gave her bad memories of Christmastime and of fires.
Trey and Misty end up spending a lot of time together. Right off there is extreme chemistry between them. Trey is so sweet to Misty as he learns about her past and fears. Trey’s home is on the Wildcat Ranch and Misty is a city girl. Will they give themselves a chance at love, especially when Trey finds out really why Misty is in town.
This is a great hot romance! You get to feel a part of this community that care for each other, celebrate the Christmas holidays, and protect their animals. There is also the mystery to solve of all the suspicious fires around Wildcat Bluff.
A great hot read! I’m looking forward to the next books in this series. FYI, contains mature content.
