I received a copy of this book from Netgalley/Entangled Publishing for an honest review. “A Friendly Arrangement” by Christina Warner is book two in the “Friends First” series, but can be read as a standalone. This is Holly Haggerty and Roth Esterly’s story.
Holly and Roth have been best friends for a long time. They both agree that marriage is not for them. Holly and Roth watch movies, play games, and finish each other’s sentences. Sometimes they fill in as each other’s plus one for parties and events.
Holly and Roth make an agree that they will pretend to date since they both don’t want to marry. That way they can be each other’s plus one for parties and events. They hope this will keep family and friends from setting them up. This pretend relationship is not going as planned when the attractions between them becomes intense.
I had a hard time connecting with Holly and Roth. There are lots of humor and steamy scenes. It was just okay for me, but would read another book by this author. FYI, contains mature content.
