I received a copy of this book from Netgalley/Sourcebooks Casablanca for an honest review. I loved “The Christmas Cottage”. The romance of Lacey and Ean was so sweet. This story touched on true love, family, and traditions. The second book in this collection “Ever After” was good but not as great as “The Christmas Cottage”. This story is about the love story of Ava and Brian. Ava is Lacey’s best friend and Ean’s sister from the first book in this collection. Ava drove me crazy in both books. Ava wants everlasting love but seems bent on screwing up everything that will make it happen. I got frustrated with Ava’s character through out the story. I guess the author kept true to how she setup the personality of Ava from the first book in this collection. All in all I enjoyed both books. Both books offer you clean sweet stories. I read a lot romance novel and it was refreshing to read a clean romance for a change. This book would be great for a weekend or any time you need an escape. I’m giving this book 4 stars because I liked the first book so much. If I had to give them stars separately I would give the first book 4 and the second book 3. I look forward to reading other books by Samantha Chase.
