I received a copy of this book from Netgalley/Entangled Publishing/Entangled Brazen for an honest review. “His Lover to Protect” by Katee Robert is an “Out of Uniform” novel. FYI, this contains mature content. Alexi Yeung has always done the right thing. Life has thrown her some really hard curve balls to deal with in her life. One day she gets on a plane to Europe. Alexis is hoping that on this journey she can get some internal. Luke Jackson is dealing with his own demons. He has been sent to watch over Alexis and keep her safe as she travels through Europe. The plan was for Alexis to not known that Luke is following her. They end up meeting and spending an extremely hot night together. Alexis thinks he is just some stranger that she met. How will Alexis react when she finds out why Luke is really in Europe? The plot of the story was written really well. The reader’s attention is kept as Luke and Alexis deal with all the emotional baggage they have been carrying around. The story of Alexis and Luke is a really good story of how people are able to overcome very difficult life changing events. Some people have scars that are visible and others have internal scars so that’s something we can all keep in mind when dealing with people. This book may not be for everyone due to the mature content. It is a really good story showing how Luke and Alexis came to terms with their own worth even when they feel they have lost who they were.
